Joshua Tree National Park – Parks Project

Joshua Tree National Park

Joshua Tree National Park | Parks Project

Joshua Tree National Park // Est. October 31, 1994

TOPIC:  Habitat Restoration

PROJECT: Restoring Native Species

PURPOSE: With every 5 tees sold, together we support the planting of 2 additional native species in the park. Unfortunately the current plant life is struggling to survive, especially the Joshua Tree. Climate change is taking an enormous toll, and the 2015 drought has hastened the decline of a species that is regarded as the symbol of California deserts.

PROJECT UPDATE: As of April 2017 we have supported the planting of 2,776 native species in the Joshua Tree National Park Nursery. Check out the photos of the nursery below!

PARTNER: Joshua Tree National Park Association
