On April 7, 2018, we joined the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy and Proof Lab in the Marin Headlands just north of San Francisco. Working with the Parks Conservancy Habitat Restoration crew, our group of 17 volunteers pulled 14,000 invasive plants, mostly French broom and scotch broom. These invasive plants push out native plant life, including the silverleaf lupine, which provides critical habitat for the endangered Mission Blue Butterfly.

The Parks Conservancy is always looking for volunteers to help with Habitat Restoration, trails, and maintenance projects. Learn more about their volunteer opportunities by visiting
