On Tuesday, July 10, our crew got their hands dirty in Muir Woods National Monument removing invasive species along Redwood Creek. Our crew of 9, plus two restoration technicians from the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy Redwood Creek team, focuses on Ehrharta erecta, an invasive grass that is prevalent in the Bay Area. The crew removed this grass to make room for native species that stabilize the sensitive and complex Redwood Creek ecosystem.
