Rock Creek Conservancy, the National Park Service, and Parks Project came together to celebrate National Public Lands Day in Washington DCs famous Rock Creek Park. Our crew of 10 volunteers removed 15 lbs of trash and cleared 2,000 square feet of invasive species from the Park. 

Special guests came out with remarks, including: David Vela, Acting Director of the National Park Service; Julia Washburn, Superintendent of Rock Creek Park; Jeanne Braha, Executive Director of Rock Creek Conservancy; and Meri-Margaret Deoudes, President and CEO of the National Environmental Education Foundation (NEEF). 

This event was organized by Field Crew leader Matt D of Washington, DC.
