ROCK CREEK PARK, WASHINGTON, DC
Rock Creek Park, Washington, D.C.
July 14, 2018
On Saturday, July 14, we joined the Rock Creek Conservancy and the National Park Service to remove invasive plant species from the eastern section of Melvin Hazen in Rock Creek Park. Our crew targeted English Ivy, a highly invasive plant that takes over an area and pushes out native species. Our crew of about 20 removed approximately 500 lbs of English Ivy from Melvin Hazen, clearing out about 2500 square yards of area!
