COMPANY OVERVIEW
Parks Project takes the concept of giving back to nature and applies a dash of environmental social enterprise. As a for-profit business, we use the sale of an array of apparel and accessories to connect consumers with park conservancies. Each product purchased contributes directly to one of over 50 different conservancies across the US, providing vital funding for the ongoing care of national parks.
TIMING
Apply by 3/1 for our Summer Session: 4/1 – 9/30
Apply by 9/1 for our Winter Session: 10/1 – 3/31
COMPENSATION
These are part-time $15/hour internships, 15-20 hours per week.
THE PROGRAM ITSELF
The internship program will provide education and on-the-job work experience with equipment, processes and procedures used in the industry that is for the express benefit of the Intern.
The Intern will receive direct and close supervision by an assigned supervisor.
The intern understands that there is no guarantee or expectation that the internship program will result in employment with the Company.
When the intern is required to report to the Company’s work-site, transportation to and from the site is the responsibility of the Intern, as this is considered a normal commute.
The intern will agree in writing to comply with all aspects of the Proprietary Information, Invention Assignment and Confidentiality Agreement.
Proof of your identity and legal authorization to work in the United States.
ECOMMERCE INTERN
Parks Project is seeking a driven ecommerce intern that will help translate product, branding, and creative assets into brand content and shoppable products on our site. The ideal intern will be highly organized with an interest in product management and experience in photo editing and copywriting.
- Gather data/assets from production and creative teams to bring products to life on our website
- Creating robust size charts for our products
- Assist with content population on web pages and blog posts
- Maintaining the organization systems that aid the backend of our systems
- Resizing and retouching product images
- Remerchandising products based on sales velocity, sales goals and visual identity
- Re-pricing products for sales
The ideal intern will be self starter that is: highly organized, eager to learn, possesses a keen eye, a strong writer
Working toward a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of photoshop photo editing is a must (previous experience with ERP platforms like shopify is a plus)
Passionate about parklands and for the outdoors is a plus!

PRODUCT INTERN
Parks Project is seeking a motivated product development and production intern to support and learn from the product development and production teams to help create intentional products.
The ideal intern must be eager to work with product from design through to the production stages while encompassing an entrepreneurial mindset. The successful intern will be wearing many hats while assisting in an array of tasks from choosing Pantone colors, building tech packs, writing POs to tracking photoshoot samples and beyond. Must be organized, focused, and thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.
Assist Product Team with Product Tech Packs (choosing fabric, colors, sizing…)
Responsible for adding style numbers and mocks to Product Development/ Production Line plan once design finalizes collection
Responsible for ordering blanks needed for sampling and shipping to correct vendor in time
Assist in tracking product samples for photoshoots and tradeshows from factory origin to tradeshow or retail destination
Track fabric, lab dips, and trim development/ requests
Help adjust Ai/Ps files when needed for digital printing or revising art for screen printers.
Update product information in ERP System
Follow up and maintain updated production WIP for each vendor.
Order UPC for all styles in production.
Manage Hang Tags, Trims and inventory of shipping supplies and report monthly on status.
Review costs and deliveries through WIP, ensuring ERP system and internal cost sheets reflect correct costs.
Undergraduate student ONLY (Preferably majoring in Fashion Merchandising, Business Administration, Design Development Degrees and alike)
Strong project management skills; highly organized and capable of effective, efficient multi-tasking and time management
Must have strong oral and written communication skills and must be able to effectively present information to others
Industry experience with apparel suppliers preferred
Proficient computer skills to include MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint
Passion for the outdoors a plus!

MARKETING INTERN
Parks Project is seeking a driven marketing intern to support and learn from the communications and creative teams and help play a part in our brand campaigns. The ideal intern will possess strong knowledge of the digital media landscape, including various social media platforms, as well as design and copywriting skills. The successful intern will be responsible for contributing to planning for social media and blog content, assisting in monitoring and posting on social networking platforms, and designing original assets for those platforms.
Assist the communications and creative teams to develop and execute social media campaigns, product launches, contests, and content for the blog
Assist with content creation for the master content calendar on a weekly basis
Work closely with social media coordinator to design content for social media platforms
Stay on top of news and culturally relevant moments where new audiences can be engaged
Source photography and develop designs to create engaging social media content
Source content and ideas for the blog
Assist in the growth of the Parks Project community and brand by interacting with users according to our brand voice and tone
Assist in responding to social media messages and inquiries in a timely manner as you learn about the brand
Identify key influencers and seed product
The ideal intern will be creative, eager to learn, and a self starter
Working toward a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Design, or related field
Excellent oral and written communication skills, must have experience with design
In depth working knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, and TikTok
In depth knowledge of Photoshop (graphic design experience a plus)
Passionate about parklands and for the outdoors is a plus!
