How Parks Project Became Certified?
B Corp Certification is based on three essential pillars. Alone, none of these pillars are sufficient. It's the combination that makes it unique, credible, and significant.
Verified performance ensures that B Corps walk the talk. To meet the performance requirement, a company must earn a minimum, verified score of 80 points on the B Impact Assessment, which examines a company’s overall impact on its workers, community, customers, and environment.
Parks Project scored an overall B Impact Score of 85.7.
For comparison, the median score for ordinary businesses completing this assessment is 50.9.

Why Become a Certified B Corp?
Becoming certified B Corp was important to Parks Project because it’s directly connected to our mission of leaving it better than we found it and our brand values of progressive, intentional, and inclusive. We believe in doing a little bit better with every opportunity.
How Are We Kept Accountable?
B Corp Certification is not the endpoint but an ongoing process. Therefore, B Corps are required to recertify every three years.

Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC)
What is the FSC Certification?
Global standard that ensures that products come from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social and economic benefits. Learn More
Why is this important?
Environmental Protection - FSC's forest management standards expand protection of water quality, prohibit harvest of rare old-growth forest, prevent loss of natural forest cover and prohibit highly hazardous chemicals, which are all unique aspects of the system.
Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS)
What is the GOTS certification?
The GOTS certification ensures organic status of textiles, from harvesting of the raw materials, through environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing up to labeling in order to provide a credible assurance to the end consumer. Learn More
Why is this important?
GOTS is recognized as the world's leading processing standard for textiles made from organic fibers. It defines high-level environmental criteria along the entire organic textiles supply chain and requires compliance with social criteria as well.
This standard stipulates requirements throughout the supply chain for both ecological and labor conditions in textile and apparel manufacturing using organically produced raw materials. Organic production is based on a system of farming that maintains and replenishes soil fertility without the use of toxic, persistent pesticides or synthetic fertilizers. In addition, it includes welfare standards for animal husbandry and prohibits genetically modified organisms.
Global Recycled Standard (GRS)
What does it mean to be GRS Certified?
The GRS helps manufacturers verify the recycled content of their products and to verify responsible social, environmental and chemical practices in their production. Learn More
Why is this important?
GRS aims to reduce the harmful impact of production on people and the environment by using recycled post-consumer polyester to make goods.

What is STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®?
STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certified products have been tested for harmful substances to protect your health. Tested for Toxic Chemicals. This label certifies that every component of the product, from the fabric to the thread and accessories, has been rigorously tested against a list of up to 350 toxic chemicals. Learn More

OEKO-TEX® STeP
What is OEKO-TEX® STeP?
Unlike other certification systems, STeP enables an integrated view of production conditions from sustainable perspectives. Our independent OEKO-TEX® institutes carry out the analysis and scoring in 6 modules:

What is the Higg Index?
The Higg Index is an apparel and footwear industry self-assessment standard for assessing environmental and social sustainability throughout the supply chain. Learn More
Why is this important?
The Sustainable Apparel Coalition, a nonprofit organization, certifies that the facility utilizes the Higg Index to measure and grow its sustainability practice. This encourages full supply chain transparency in companies, leading to stronger sustainability and ethical practices throughout the entire network of the company
