Last week the Parks Project team took part in the annual Yosemite Facelift event. This event is open to everyone. Multiple outdoor brands and volunteers get together to focus on restoring Yosemite, whether it’s on the trails or in the field. For us, it was in the field! 

 

 

We jumped into Leidig Meadow with Clif Bar and a few Yosemite park rangers to collect seeds to repurpose throughout the park. 

 

 

Being very fortunate with a blue sky and a running Yosemite falls that day, we were out in the field for about 6 hours. In total we collected 2,000 seeds from various plants in this area. They said that’s about a third of what they collect annually without the help, so to say it was beneficial is an understatement.
